Takoma Park Community Band
About Us
The Takoma Park Community Band in Takoma Park, Maryland, was founded in 1974 and has approximately 25-30 regular members. The band is a diverse group of musicians from the entire Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Members range from college students to retirees.
Currently, our repertoire includes classical, popular, show tunes, marches, jazz and latin music. The band performs at retirement homes, churches, hospitals and local parks. Each year the band performs at the Takoma Park City Independence Day celebration. See our Concerts page for our upcoming performances!
